Mindfulness for Kids & Teens

Happy kids radiate confidence, resilience, and compassion.

Feeling this way may not seem easy in the midst of life’s stressors. But science brings us good news: we can train our brains to strengthen positive character traits and emotions over time – especially when we learn them early in life.

Unfortunately, schools typically don’t teach these social-emotional skills.

Through practicing mindfulness, children gain greater self-awareness and self-control so they can grow into happy and independent adults.

Mindfulness has been shown to help kids and teens overcome common struggles such as:

  • Anxiety or stress related to school, family, or friends
  • Low self-esteem and negative self-image
  • Lack of motivation or initiative
  • Inability to focus or pay attention

Our unique approach creates a fun and engaging way for your child to learn mindfulness so they can thrive…academically, socially, and emotionally.

“Erin is absolutely amazing! We first met her when she was my oldest child’s first-grade teacher. She was the first person to help him learn to manage his ADHD-associated anxiety by using mindfulness techniques. A few years later we were lucky enough for our second child to be placed in her Kindergarten class where she incorporated mindfulness into her everyday lessons. 3 years later, after the pandemic hit, we reached out to her again when our children were both showing signs of increased anxiety and were feeling lost. She has been instrumental in helping them find their grounding and they LOVE meeting with her! My kids look forward to their meetings every week!”

“My daughter, like many others, was having a very difficult school year during the pandemic. I signed her up for weekly private classes with Erin to help her learn some tools to help her cope with the uncertainty and anxiety that this year had caused.  Erin’s presence was immediately calming and positive and my daughter felt a connection with her right away. My daughter had a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Erin!”

“Erin has helped our son tremendously! Through her practice, he has learned to use breathing techniques to calm his feelings. He has also used them to help him fall asleep without one of us laying with him and this was huge!! We would spend many nights laying with him for 30+ minutes. Now he falls asleep on his own after we do some breathing techniques together. He also teaches his little brother how to do them too. We love our time with Erin and highly recommend her!”

“I have used Erin for mindfulness lessons for both myself and my son who has anxiety and ADHD. We could not be happier with what she has done for our family, both pre-pandemic and currently. She definitely has a naturally calm and gentle way of teaching mindfulness that just stops you in your tracks and makes you forget about everything else. I was amazed at how perfectly she prepared each new lesson based on what we had talked about in previous lessons. She really tailored every lesson to our needs, showing she clearly listens and cares! Our whole family now incorporates mindfulness into each day in some way thanks to her! We HIGHLY recommend her!”
