Feeling this way may not seem easy in the midst of life’s stressors. But science brings us good news: we can train our brains to strengthen positive character traits and emotions over time, especially when we learn them early in life.

Unfortunately, schools typically don’t teach these social-emotional skills.

Through practicing mindfulness, children develop greater self-awareness and self-control, enabling them to grow into happy and independent adults.

Mindfulness has been shown to help kids and teens overcome everyday struggles such as:

Group Mindfulness Classes for Teens (Ages 12-17)

Give your teens an opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of their minds.

Our 12-week virtual class series for teens was designed to help your teen learn the basics of mindfulness, enabling them to develop their social and emotional skills and feel less stress and overwhelm, regardless of what life throws their way.

Building these powerful skills will help your teen:

  • Make better decisions that benefit them and others
  • Be more resilient and less reactive…even in challenging situations
  • Cultivate greater empathy and compassion

Classes are taught online (via Zoom) in 45-minute segments. Each lesson includes instruction, guided meditations, and reflection questions to help your teen apply the insights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a trial period? What if my teen refuses to participate after I purchase this for them?

No refunds will be offered, but we will be happy to schedule a one-on-one session to address any concerns or issues that may arise after you sign up for the class.

Is this a group class?

Yes. Your teen will participate in an online group class alongside other teens. While they aren’t required to talk to the other participants, they will be encouraged to share when it feels right for them.

Is there homework?

While all the lessons will be taught live, teens will be encouraged to practice the mindfulness techniques outside of class for 3-5 minutes per day or week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take the class with my child?

These classes are designed for children, but you’re welcome to attend with them if you’d like.

Does the class involve my child socializing with others?

Children are encouraged to socialize with others if they feel comfortable doing so.

How many children are in each class?

Class size is limited to 10 children.

Is there a refund period if my child refuses to continue after the first class?

No refunds will be offered, but we will be happy to schedule a one-on-one session to address any concerns or issues that may arise after you sign up for the class.

What happens if my child misses a class?

A make-up 1:1 session can be arranged for one missed class.

Do I need to provide specific materials for my child to participate in the exercises?

No, we provide you with simple techniques that don’t require you to have any materials on hand. However, if materials are needed, they will be emailed to you in advance of our session.

Private Mindfulness Classes for Children and Teens
